(This Feature is Also Referred as Knowledge, CMS)
Scope
Articles allow users to create three types of articles: article, document, and video. For articles, users can choose from five templates to help with formatting, and can include rich media such as images, videos, and links. All articles require a title, synopsis, skill tags, and body content, with optional fields including cover image, thumbnail, co-authors, department tags, and visibility. After composing an article, users can preview and edit before publishing, and can add tags and metadata before publishing. Post-publishing, articles display meta data such as likes, comments, views, and bookmarks, as well as the date of publication and estimated reading time.
Purpose
A feature like a CMS (Content Management System) that includes articles is useful in a B2B SaaS Enterprise because it allows for easy creation, organisation, and sharing of knowledge and information within the company. By providing employees with a platform to publish articles, documents, and videos, the company can encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration, which can lead to increased productivity and innovation. Additionally, the CMS allows for easy categorisation and search ability of content, making it easier for employees to find the information they need. Having a centralised location for all company knowledge and information can also help to ensure consistency and accuracy of information across the company.
